The Fulford Arms Battle Of The Bands event for 2022 took place from October 26 to December 2 last year with four acts followed by the final. The final featured the four heat winners; White Roses (Heat 1), The Palava (Heat 2), The Rosettas (Heat 3) and City Snakes (Heat 4), and the judge’s wild card, I Tell Lies. It is an absolute honor to be the judge for this amazing contest. Obviously, since I’m judging the contest, I don’t think it’s fair for me to also review it. I want to say a big thank you to all of my fellow judges and the amazing team at Fulford Arms who put it all together. There are many prizes for the winners and I am happy to offer extra prizes for all five finalists if you are interested. So White Roses, Palava, Rosettas, City Snakes and I Tell Lies. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a video from I Tell Lies, so click here to see it on Spotify! The event was so successful that the Fulford Arms Battle Of The Bands for 2023 is even bigger. There will be six preliminary rounds (first on September 6), three semifinal rounds, and then the Grand Final on October 22. The poster above gives all the dates and details of how to enter. Who’s ready for it? I’d rate the show 9 out of 10 this time around. It will be great to see your band there, you know what to do! As a quick footnote, I enjoyed the event so much that I became a judge in a local school’s Battle Of The Bands contest, which also happens to be where I work now!
